Dragon Quest 11 Level You Get Companions Back
Start the game and choose a name for the main character; I'll be calling him (and it is a him) "Hero." Next, choose 3D or 2D. As I said before, this guide is for 3D mode. In particular, you can avoid random encounters in 3D for a faster experience, but I also prefer the tactical options and general interface. Then, you'll choose a language, camera controls, and brightness. You'll watch a long cutscene. You can skip cutscenes by holding .
Once the cutscene is over, press to bring up the menu, and go to Misc. Choose system settings, and claim special rewards and grab all three items. Return to the menu, choose equipment, change the Hero's Cobblestone Sword to the cobblestone Greatsword. It's better to focus the Hero in Greatswords until you reach Act III. Also, equip the Trodain Bandana and the Trodain Togs. Now, follow the dog. Hold to run. You'll see people with pink dots over their heads; talk to them for directions on where to go. You'll enter your first fight here with 3 slimes. Focus fire with the dog. After the fight, go over to the shrine on the left. Behind it is a chest with a shield in it. Return to following the dog.
You'll enter a cave and cross a bridge. Look to the right; The ledges here can be climbed with . Up here, look for a blue sparkle to pick up a healing item. Head back down and keep following the dog. You'll come to a exit from the cave, take the first right. Go down the steps and break both pots to receive another herb and 5 GP. Go back to following the dog and exit the cave into a cut scene that leads to a fight. Just keep attacking, Gemma will heal you if you get hurt. You'll level up and learn Frizz at the end of the fight.
Walk up to the vine and press to climb it. Walk around the edge, drop down and climb up the ledges ahead. Go forward into a cutscene. Turn around and walk back all the way to where you started the game.
Coming of Age
Awarded for completing the coming of age ceremony atop Cobblestone Tor.

Press to pull up the map. You need to get to your home; it's labeled on the map. Enter for another cutscene. Leave the home, and head to the pink dot in the center of cobblestone. Talk to Gemma here for a cutscene. Leave home again, go down the ramp and look to your right. You'll see a man with a purple dot over his head. Talk to him for your first side quest. Head back up the ramp to home and turn right towards the shed with the chicken coop. Use to jump up the boxes to the blue sparkle and a chest with 50 GP. Return to the man with the purple dot. This is your first side quest of 40. (1/40 side quests)
You can go to the item shop and buy Wayfinder's clothes if you want extra defense. It's the green, yellow, and white icon. You could also save at the church. It's the blue circle split in three. Then, go to the North of cobblestone to leave. A cutscene will play, and you'll receive a horse. Go forward towards Heliodor. You'll come to a campsite, and a cutscene will play. The short version is: You can rest at the campsite to heal for free and change the time of day. Also the statue of an angel can provide the functions of a priest. Keep heading north to Heliodor city.
A cutscene will play, showing just how big Heliodor is. There are two purple dots here-side quests to complete. Turn right and talk to the little girl. Go past her, into the item shop. Go upstairs, then up the ladder. Turn around up here and hop up to a chest with a mini medal. You'll need 90 of these, but don't worry if you miss them, there's a way to farm them late in the game. Go back to the ladder and look left for a cat. Help the cat, and return to the girl to complete the quest (2/40 side quests)
The cat is right where the Hero is standing here.
The next purple dot is behind the armor shop. Talk to the tourist here. The book he wants is the Southeast of the city. It's on a bookshelf inside a building. You should read all Red books like this one. Many will help you learn important recipes. Return to the Tourist and tell him what you learned. (3/40 side quests) Take the Drasilian Shilling and go sell it in the weapon store. If you have enough money, purchase the Copper Chopper for the Hero.
Go up the boxes here, and down the hallway for a STR seed. Use it on the Hero to permanently boost his Strength.
This building has the book in it.
Go right up to the castle for a cutscene. Inside the castle, go up the stairs and into the throne room for another cutscene. You'll wake up in a jail cell.
Break the pots on your right and try to open the door. This will trigger two cutscenes. Walk forward and talk to the hooded figure for another cutscene. Now, you're in the sewers. Walk forward. This will trigger a chase scene with guards. If they catch you, you have to fight them, but they are very tough and don't offer much XP, so avoid the guards. Follow the hooded figure into another cutscene. Walk up to the statue and save. Head deeper into the cave, for a cutscene and two more chase scenes. After a long cutscene you'll wake up in a church.
A Close Call

Once both party members are pepped, use the Pep Power The Real Decoy. Return to the purple dot. (4/40 Side Quests)
Now, Head North and East from the church to Downtown Heliodor. Along the way, look for a tree with blue sparkles to the right. Press at it for a brace of Buzzberries which you'll need for an upcoming quest. Go on up and into the cave to return to Heliodor.
This tree has the buzzberries you need.
Stop at the item store on the right, and buy a holy water. Go forward to the pile of junk. A cutscene will play and Erik will point you to an inn. Go into the inn and another cutscene and Erik will direct you to a tower. Go up the tower, watch a cutscene and head back to the inn. Talk to the redhead.
Now you need to acquire a dog. You'll need the buzzberries and the holy water. Go talk to the kid with a pink dot over their head. Walk over to the guard. Past where he was, you'll be back in the upper part of town. Head North to the stairs, then take a right and go to the pink dot on the map. It'll be a house with a garden. Using to jump and the ladder, head up to the roof of this house. Then walk across the rope to the church's roof, and the rope from the church to the upper part of town. Derk's shop is in the Southeast.
Follow Derk back out the shop. Head back down into the lower part of town and back out into the wildness where you came from. Here you want to head south into the manglegrove. Continue south to the campsite. Play with the forge and make Eric the Divine Dagger. Do three bashes on top, then three bashes on bottom. We'll talk more about the forge later, but you should use it often to craft and improve gear. Then, go East and interact with the plant here. Now go North and West to the pink dot on the map. This is your first boss battle.
Tricky Devil HP 148 MP 9 Attack 38 Defense 40 Agility 21
Can cast Heal and Sizz.
As long as you cast heal when Hero or Eric's health is low, you're be fine.
Go south from the campsite and East into the Heilodor Region. Then go south to Cobblestone and into your home. Next go to the pink dot in the center of town. Choose to help her. Follow the girl to the next cutscene. Then, go back to the center of Cobblestone. Go North and leave Cobblestone. In the Heliodor Region, go East to the Emerald Coast. Look for a rock with a blue exclamation point.
This Rock has the letter you're looking for.
Go South and up the stairs into the Kingsbarrow. Enter the Temple and go behind the statue. This dungeon is pretty straightforward, but the little devils in here can be nasty. In the bottom of the Kingsbarrow, you'll see a enemy with golden sparkles. If you defeat this enemy, you can ride it. You need to ride six different enemies. Fight and defeat this shiny Eggoskeleton to jump up to the treasure chest with . (1/6 enemies mounted) Use the seed of defense on the Hero or save it for Veronica or Serena. Heal up and go through the doors to fight a pair of bosses.
Grim Gryphon HP 128 (each) MP 12 Attack 44 Defense 38 Agility 25
Focus fire on one of the gryphons until it dies. If you have trouble, reload, and fight random monsters until you get pepped up. All boss fights are much easier when you're pepped up. Leave the Kingsbarrow and return to the Emerald Coast. Here, go East to the door of departure and another cutscene. You'll arrive in the Hotto Steppe and unlock
Save at the priest here. Then, continue down the path going to Hotto. In Hotto, go up the stairs to your right. Open the doors to the bar on your left, then, go through the bar's exit on the left and talk to the man with a purple dot over his head. Open the chest behind him. Press and bring out the fun-size forge. Bash three times on the left, then four times on the right, then once more on the left to make a +2 ring. Hand it over to the man. (5/40 side quests) The Crucerang he gives you is good weapon for Eric when facing large groups of enemies. Leave the bar. Head down the ramp ahead of you and up the stairs. Enter the hot baths for a cutscene.
When the cutscene ends, go forward and around the outside of the baths. Speak to the girl here for your first puff-puff session. Pay 20 GP. You need to find all eight of these for an achievement. (1/8 Puff-Puff)
This girl can give you your first Puff-Puff.
Leave the hot baths. Just East of the Entrance to Hotto, a girl in a red cap is arguing with a hooded man. Approach them. After the cutscene, return to the bar for another cutscene. Before you leave Hotto, Talk to the purple dot man on the Eastern side. He wants Iron ore. Go out to the Hotto Steppe and look for a large blue crystal. Hit it, and return to the man to complete another side quest. (6/40 side quests)
Talk to this guy
Here's one of the two places to get iron ore in the Hotto steppe.
Forge the Cast-Iron Claymore for Hero, and buy the best gear and equipment before leaving Hotto again. Fully equipped, go to the Hotto Steppe, and go Northwest to the Cryptic Crypt. This dungeon has collapsing floors you need to avoid. Head to the Yggdrasil Root marked on the map to see the correct way to go. Also, look for golden sparkly Skullrider to mount (2/6 enemies Mounted) While on the skullrider, you can climb up footprints on the walls.
Use the fountain near the end of the dungeon to heal up and save. With the fountain right here, now is a good spot to grind out some levels. Get Hero up to level nine. Then, go forward and use the Yggdrasil Root again. This door will lead into another boss fight
Jarvis HP 260 MP 99 Attack 66 Defense 52 Agility 35
Very weak to fire (-110%)
Jarvis's Shadows HP 70 MP 9 Attack 40 Defense 44 Agility 35
Can cast Snooze.
Take out the shadows first, then Jarvis. With Serena focused on Healing, Hero can cast sizz to damage all the shadows at once. If you're having trouble, grind some levels or get pepped up before the fight. Defeating Jarvis will earn you
Open the door behind Jarvis for a cutscene. At the end, you'll wake up in Hotto. Head downstairs into another cutscene. Return to the bar in Hotto, cutscene. Veronica and Serena will now officially join your party. Press , go to Misc., then Tactics and change them to follow orders. Next, go to the character builder. Train Veronica in vim and heavy wands. Train Serena in Wands. Eric should now be able to learn Cobra Strike in Knives. Go to the Armor shop, and buy Serena a Scale Shield (or forge one yourself). The girls would also benefit from Feathered Caps. As you are leaving Hotto, Veronica will teach the Hero Zoom. This time-saving spell lets you teleport from nearly anywhere to any city or campsite you've visited. Use it often. Zoom now to the Hotto campsite, and head south across the bridge. You'll be stopped here and meet your first Tockle.
Tockles originally were added to the game as DLC and are included in the base 1000 GS of this version. You'll need to locate all 25 Tockles with Pastwords, then journey to the worlds of the ten previous Dragon Quest games to save them. Agree with the little guy and follow him to Tickington. Leave as soon as you get the first Pastword (0/25 Pastword) You can check which Pastwords you are missing in the info menu.
Leave to the Gallopolis Region. Head straight to the center and enter Gallopolis. After the cutscene, go right and talk to the purple dot inside the cafe. This guy wants you to fight a rare enemy, a golden Globe. We'll get to this in a moment. There's another purple dot in the northwest, but we will skip that one or save it for much later. Talk to him, anyway, and collect the quest. Go up the stairs and into the palace. Here, go forward and up the stairs. Go down and East to the prince's bedchamber. Speak to the prince for a cutscene. Go to the opposite bedcamber and loot the two wardrobes to get the fishnet stockings, a key part of an outfit. Equip them on Serena now. Leave the palace and head to the church. Loot the wardrobe next to the priest for another outfit piece, the traveler's hood. Equip this on anyone for a defense boost. Talk to the woman in the yellow dress outside the armor shop. She'll give you another Puff-Puff (2/8 puff-puffs) Go in the armor shop and buy the Bunny Ears, another outfit piece, for Serena and Veronica. Go to the inn and choose "Rest Awhile" until night.
Here's the side quest
In the center wardrobe is the fishnet stockings
Turn around from the innkeeper and look at the bookcase here. It has a recipe book with some great gear at this level. Head to the circus, labeled on the map. There will be a long cutscene, and you will wake up at the inn. Go to the west side of Gallopolis to see the stables. Talk to the prince. Walk out and get on the horse. Go forward and to the north through the tunnel. Now you must horse race.
Hold to Gallop
Hold to drift around corners.
Run through the green swirls to restore stamina and keep galloping. Going over ramps also restores stamina.
It doesn't matter how well you do in this race, even fourth place will earn:
Out-Stand-In
Awarded for having a good run at a good race.

Return to the throne room. Then, go to the Prince's bedroom. Leave Gallopolis, and let's take care of "A Cactus Cutlet to Die For" side quest. Look for green balls on the edges of the desert. Run into them to trigger a fight. Most of the time, these will be normal Cactiballs. You need to keep battling until you find a Golden Globe. Rest at the campsite if you get hurt. By the campsite is your second Tockle with a Pastword (1/25 pastwords)
Cactiballs are the lighter green balls here.
Here's your second tockle.
Return to the chief after defeating the Golden Globe. (7/40 side quests) Now, leave Gallopolis and go to the Celestial Sands Checkpoint. From here, head to the Pernicious Peninsula. Here, you will fight the Slayer of the Sands boss
Slayer of the Sands HP 712 MP 180 Attack 55 Defense 60 Agility 40
Resistant to Earth and weak to fire.
The Slayer is a hard fight. Have Eric use Cobra Strike plus Victimizer if he knows it. Have Veronica Cast Sap. Serena can try dazzle, too. Having Eric pepped up and using Scorched Earth is a huge bonus in this fight, too. You can beat him with a party as low as level 10 if you have the right strategy. If you have trouble, grind up a few levels. Gallopolis's stores have some great gear, too. Once you beat the Slayer, zoom back to Gallopolis. There will be a couple cutscenes, then you will be in the throne room. Go to the Gallopolis Armor shop and buy the Dancer's Costume. Leave Gallopolis. Sylvando will join your party. I found him useless, so leave him swapped out. You'll be forced to use him in an upcoming boss fight, so switch his tactics to follow orders. Train him in one-handed swords. Head for the purple dot on the way to the Laguna di Gondolia. Talk to the guard under the purple dot. He wants you to deliver a letter. Enter the Laguna di Gondolia. Look for a midnight Horknight to ride around this area. (3/6 enemies mounted) There's a lot of treasure in this area only reachable on a horknight.
Also, look in a cave on your way for a yellow tockle. (pastword 2/25)
In this cave, you'll learn a second pastword.
Exit to Gondolia. A man in a yellow hood on the left is selling a cat costume for 10,000 GP. You should come back later to get this. On the right, lower level, look for a woman sweeping. Talk to her and give her the guard's letter. She gives you a letter to take back to the guard. Zoom to the South of Gallopolis and go back to the guard at the checkpoint. He'll give you a nice greatsword recipe. (8/40 side quests)
Deliver the letter to this woman
Zoom back to Gondolia. Return to the sweeping maid. She wants a letter delivered to Puerto Valor. We'll be going there soon, so take the letter. Go to the north of Gondolia, and go down the stairs. There's a hidden chest down below the big circle. In this chest is the Care Riviere, a very important item for Serena. You will really need this in an upcoming boss fight. Also, on the East side of this lower area is another Puff-Puff girl in green. (3/8 Puff-Puffs) Go to the south West of Gondolia for a cutscene. Then, go to Doge's house near the sweeping maid. Knock on the door to see two more cutscenes.
The Care Riviere is in this chest.
The Puff-Puff woman.
Load up the party and Sylvando with the best gear possible and leave Gondolia. In the Laguna di Gondolia, turn right to the Grotta della Fonta. In here, head to the campsite, then to the La Fonte Fonda. Watch out for surprise enemies. At the end, you'll have a boss fight with two Coralossuses.
Coralossus HP 230 MP 99 attack 117 defense 110 agility 28
These guys can hit for 50+ damage.
Some people find this fight easy and some find it really hard. Erik's Scorched Earth pep power, followed by Hero and Veronica's sizz can really hurt them. Once you beat them, zoom back to Gondolia. Save at the church. Go north to the center stage. Hero and Eric will fight a group of Guards. You are intended to lose this fight. Erik will be captured and Hero will escape. Now, you need to avoid the guards and get back to the stage. You'll need to jump off the bridge and use a boat. Then, You'll fight Jasper.
You can bypass a fight by getting on the roof of the inn.
Jasper HP 630 MP 80 Attack 116 defense 75 agility 30
Can prevent the party from casting spells (this is why Serena has the Care Riviere) Acts twice. Deflects attacks a lot.
Have Sylvando cast Oomph on the Hero. Have Serena cast Buff on Veronica. This is a hard fight and may take several tries. Once you learn Jasper's pattern, you'll do much better. Reaching level 16 with Serena will teach her midheal, which will cancel out Jasper's damage. For defeating Jasper, you'll earn
New Horizons
Awarded for setting out in search of new lands.

Head to the Northeast. On the map, look for a pink dot and go there. Beware of random encounters on the seas. Disembark in Zwaardsrust. Go to the inn here. Talk to the priest with a purple dot over his head behind the inn here. We'll do his quest later. Go inside the inn and talk to the green Tockle (3/25 Pastwords) Now head up the inn's stairs and Look for a bookcase with steel recipes. Go outside on the second floor here. Wait for the door to close behind you. Walk through where the door was and along the railing to find a mini medal, then go back and jump over to the windmill. Grab the blue sparkle here.
You'll need this blue sparkle when crafting.
Now, leave the inn and go West to the Dundrasil Region. Here, look for a horknight to ride. Along the South of this first lake is a Necklace of Immunity that will help in an upcoming boss fight. Turn left(southwest) at the fork. Go just south of the campsite and look in the ruins for a blue tockle. (4/25 pastwords) Behind him is the Rod of Rapidity for Veronica.
In these ruins, you'll learn a pastword.
Now, head north into Octagonia. Go straight forward and sign up for the fighting contest. Go behind this area and up the elevator. Go up and into the arena. There'll be cutscene, and then you go down the elevator. Buy and forge all the best gear for the Hero. Stay at the inn. After a cutscene, save at the yellow-hooded man. Your first fight is with the Abominable Showman and Underdigger.
Abominable Showman HP 251 MP 50 Attack 58 Defense 100 Agility 59
Underdigger HP 292 MP 10 Attack 64 Defense 100 Agility 85
Underdigger is tougher, but the Showman is capable of copying himself. Focus fire and use your strongest attacks on whichever one Vince attacks. This should be an easy fight. Leave the arena when it's done. Go East and up a set of stairs into Upper Octagonia. Immediately south of the bar is a Lady in pink offering Puff-puff. (4/8 Puff-puffs)
This woman can give you a puff-puff.
There's nothing else of interest up here now, so head down and keep going down. Past the weapon and armor stores is the orphanage. After the cutscene, head up the stairs and across the chapel. Open the small door on your right. After a cutscene, You'll be in the waiting room again. Rest if you need to and save at the yellow-hooded man. Talk to Vince for your second fight against Sinderella and Whambelina.
Sinderella HP 304 MP 50 attack 58 defense 67 agility 90
Can cast midheal, Frizzle or Sizzle.
Whambelina HP 304 MP 14 attack 94 defense 83 agility 42
Can use Flame Slash or enthrall a party member.
Usually, it's a good idea to take out the healers first, but in this fight, Sinderella has so little MP, she quickly stops being a threat. Meanwhile, Whambelina's enthrall ability is super dangerous. Target Whambelina first. Finishing this fight will heal you and bring you straight into a fight with Sylvando and Golden boy.
Sterling Sylva HP 346 MP 80 attack 109 defense 91 agility 63
Golden Boy HP 336 MP 16 attack 78 defense 81 agility 110
Almost no threat at all.
Take out Sylvando first, since Golden boy's boomerangs do almost no damage. Even their pep power is pretty weak. Defeating these two will lead directly into a much harder fight with Jade and Rab.
Jade HP 414 MP 53 attack 109 defense 84 agility 140
Rab HP 264 MP 55 attack 65 defense 107 agility 55
Can cast a variety of spells including Snooze and midheal.
If you have trouble, remember you can leave and grind out a few levels if you want. Target Rab first to prevent healing. After the fight, go to the inn. There will be a cutscene, and then you need to go back to the Orphanage. Having Serena at level 18 to know Zing is recommended here. At the orphanage, head downstairs. There are a lot of venomous monsters now here, so equip the necklace of immunity on the Hero or Serena. In the Caverns under Octagonia, there are a lot of dead ends with useful treasure. There's also ledges you need to climb under and at least one mimic chest.
The chest on the right is a mimic, but it drops a seed of skill.
Continue through the dungeon to meet the boss in the south west. Rab will help you fight Arachtagon.
Arachtagon HP 1276 MP 999 Attack 122 Defense 82 Agility 82
Weak to Fire. Can poison or confuse party members. Acts twice. Hits for 60 damage or more.
Arachtagon is dangerous, but you can get through with Sylvando's Flame slash or Eric's Cobra Strike/victimizer. Have Serena cure poison and buff and rely on Rab for healing. With Arachtagon dead, you'll return to the inn. Speak to the guy who signed you up for the tournament to receive your prize. But first, you'll have to fight Vince in an easy fight. Then, the Rainbough is stolen. However, you still get
This man's quest will give you an important outfit.
Talk to a man directly north of the inn to receive an important side quest. This side quest is necessary to get an outfit for Sylvando. Zoom to the Dundrasil campsite. Head North and look for a blue sparkly plant. Cut it with and return it to the man. (9/40 side quests) The Dapper Doublet and Natty Cravat should be an upgrade for Sylvando at this point, so craft them.
Here's the plant you need to cut.
Now, return to the Orphanage. There's another side quest outside. This child wants the autograph of Xero the Shadow. Go immediately south of the entrance to upper Octogonia and climb up a ledge. Xero is here, hiding behind a column. Return to the boy for a mini medal. (10/40 side quests)
Here's Xero the Shadow.
Return to the Dundrasil campsite, and go up the long ramp to its south. Go to the pink dot and climb in the well. Run through this tunnel and up the vine on the other side. Go up the stairs to speak to Rab. Follow him. At the gravestone, turn around and crawl under a collapsed column to find an important chest. This chest has recipes for an outfit for the Hero.
Dress like a Drasilian is in this chest.
Return to following Rab up the hill. There will be a cutscene and then you need to go down the hill. Another cutscene, and it's back up the hill. Then, another cutscene and you need to go down the hill. You'll wake up in a cabin, leave it. Head North to another cutscene, then run forward. Jade and Rab will join the party. I recommend training Jade in Claws and Rab in heavy staves. Leave the ruins. Zoom back to Gondolia - Sea, and sail Northwest. Land at the Costa Valor. Go north and look for a slime knight to ride. (4/6 enemies Mounted)
You can earn easy XP riding a slime knight.
While riding the Slime Knight, press to swing the blade. 30% of the enemies' XP for what you defeat is added to the the total of your next fight. This makes a good way to grind for now. Now go south into Puerto Valor. At the end of the cutscene, turn right and look for a man in red with a mask. He'll give you recipes for two outfits.
This man has girls clothes on his mind.
Now let's turn in that side quest from Gondolia. Go to the Beach. Inside the cafe on the eastern side, talk to a man sitting at a table. Give him the letter.
Give this man the letter.
Go inside the West inn and talk to a purple dot near the oven. This side quest is important for getting another outfit.
This man needs the proper pepper.
Lastly, talk to the purple dot outside the armor shop. This man wants you to kill a coralossus.
This wife wants a floral Coral.
Zoom to Gondolia and deliver the letter to the sweeping maid. (11/40 side quests) Now is a good time to buy the cat suit if you have the money for it, too. Sail from Gondolia to the small island northeast of it, Insula Australis. Fight the hood and knight enemies here.

After this fight, you'll get the Tough guy tattoo, a good item for Hero or Jade. Zoom to the Costa Valor campsite and look for a Coralossus along the coast. Kill it for a Floral Coral. Return to Puerto Valor, and turn in the proper pepper (12/40 side Quests) and the floral Coral (13/40 side quests) For the Proper Pepper, you'll receive an outfit for Eric. Now, go to the Don Rodrigo's home in the southeast. The cutscene here will give you permission to leave the inner sea. Grab or Forge the best weapons and gear you can and leave for the open sea, earning
Follow the canyon, then go immediately north when it opens up. You should see a misty group of pink peaks. Stop there. Once you disembark, go right to the center of this area and talk to the mermaid. Then leave. Head directly south to an island named Insula Incognita. Then sail east or west to the pink dot. Avoid the group of ships at sea. In Lonalulu, head for the church. Directly in front of the church, look for a white Tockle (5/25 Pastwords) This guy is easy to miss, since he looks like one of the tockles you can't interact with.
Talk to the Tockle here for a Pastword.
Approach the church during the day for a cutscene. Now take the Eastern path. Talk to the woman here next to the cannon. She'll give you the cannon, which will help in an upcoming boss fight. Also, break the barrels in the little shed to the East of her for a seed of defense.
https://www.trueachievements.com/customimages/113033.jpg&...Owning the Cannon will confuse the Squid.
Leave Lonalulu, and sail to the pink dot where the ships are. Here you'll fight the next boss-a Tentacular.
Tentacular I was unable to grab stats for him
If you got the cannon, the Tentacular will start the battle confused. Don't hurt him, spend the first few turns buffing and debuffing. Eric can sleep the Tentacular, which gives you a few turns to heal. Veronica should cast Bang to damage all three parts of the enemy. Focus on the center when you can. Hero and Serena should heal. Swap out anyone who dies with the tactics menu, .

Go to the dock, disembark, and go north to l'Academie De Notre Maitre des Medailes. Continue north to a pair of cutscenes. Head west to the purple dot. She needs you to make a Queen's whip +1. If you have trouble making one now, wait until you reach level 99, and try again. It should be easy. (15/40 side quests) Now, go inside the academy. On the west side, there's an inn, and a store that sells perfectionist pearls. Go to the purple dot on the left side. Head right out, and look for a golden sparkle on the northwest side of the giant circle. Return the box for a powerful item for Jade. (16/40 side quests)
The Belle's Bow will make Jade regenerate MP, letting you use her abilities endlessly.
Break a pot in the kitchen to get a seed of life. Enter the center area of the academy and look next to the Cottage. There's a red Tockle here among the flowers. (6/25 pastwords)
Another Tockle.
Go inside the Cottage and talk to the old man, Maxime. Maxime collects mini medals, you'll need to give him 90 for all achievements, but 100 will earn a powerful shield. Go upstairs and look for a purple dot in the dorms. Talk to the Lips here, then go East to talk to the Hammerhood editor.
Le Mini Monde has blown away.
Looks like things here are pointing you to the Eerie Eyrie. Leave the academy, and go East. You can ride a slime knight here, but it's not as effective and doesn't count towards your mounts if you already rode one. Enter the Eerie Eyrie. Look for a Rotten Eggsokeleton to mount. Use it to leap up the ledges. There's a signpost outside a cave in this first area. On the back of it is Le Mini Monde; read it.
Read this sign for some advice.
Enter the cave. Go North through the cave and exit. Head south and take a demonrider mount. Again, it won't count, since you already took a similar mount. Use the demonrider to climb the wall. Go to the Northeast Conder's Crag. The chest just before the Crag has 4 Phials of magic water. Make sure you save one of these for the Tockles in the endgame. Next you'll have a fight with an Elysium Bird and 2 Hades Condors.
Elysium Bird HP 800 MP 160 Attack 182 Defense 162 Agility 197
Can cast multiheal and sizz. Acts twice if allies are dead
All three can cast healing spells. Jade's Harvest Moon deals extra damage. Open the chest to receive the silver orb. Zoom back to the academy. Turn in the side quest at the dorms for a Uniforme de l'Academie, another outfit you need. (17/40 sidequests) Go South, back into the Champs Sauvage, and to Phom Nonh. Go up the hill to a cutscene, and then down the other side. Go behind this temple and open a chest to get a recipe book. Then, enter the temple. After a cutscene, return to the village. Go upstairs in the inn. Here, a girl in green will give you a puff-puff to permanently boost your charm. (5/8 Puff-puffs)
Permanent Stat boost, right here!
Stay at the inn. Return to the mural. You'll be sucked in. Go forward. Ignore the giant chest, it's mimic and the reward for defeating it isn't worth equipping. Leave the mural. Walk back to the village square for a cutscene, then return to the mural. Cross over to the the other side. Go forward again, and this time, the vines will allow you up the stairs. The Cursed Cloisters area looks confusing, but it's actually pretty simple. The path has a few short dead ends. Go up and down the stairs until you reach the angel statue. This will heal the party, as well as let you save. This is a good area to grind up some levels if you have trouble with the upcoming boss, Dora-in-grey.
Dora-in-Grey HP 1200 MP 999 Attack 160 Defense 180 Agility 100
Can mesmerize party members.
Use Sylvando to slap party members out of mesmerize or other effects. Leave the mural once Dora's defeated. Now you have the Magic Key, which opens red doors. Leave the inn to trigger a cutscene. Once it ends, you'll earn
Dark Art
Awarded for saving the village of Phnom Nonh.

Zoom back to the Strand. Leave and sail directly north. Pass the small island and continue North. Get off the boat in Sniflheim, and run around the West side to a magic door. Inside the city, go to the fire in the Southeast. Talk to the woman in the orange coat for a cutscene. Leave Sniflheim to the East and go to the Snaerfelt, then north to the Hekswood. Head north to the Church symbol. The statue here will heal you and let you save. Hero will face Jormun alone.
Jormun HP 820 MP 999 Attack 141 Defense 150 Agility 79
This is a pretty easy fight, but Jormun can attack twice occasionally, so keep your health up. After the cutscene, leave the cabin. You'll need a Face Invader mount (5/6 enemies mounted) to get up to the Royal Library
Hold to charge and destroy blocks of ice.
Enter the Library. Go directly forward to the pink dot. In this dungeon, you need to interact with green-topped pillars to progress. Hit the first one next to the slime. Then, hit a switch in the southeast. The tower will spin around you. Go through the new entrance and up the stairs. There's a yellow Tockle waiting to give you a pastword halfway up. (7/25 Pastwords)
This tockle knows the way to Alltrades abbey.
Continue up the stairs and out to the center circle. Pass the central column and take a left. You'll find a chest with an urn of saint's ashes, which you'll need for crafting. Turn around, and go clockwise around the circle. When you come to an alcove, look left for the next switch. Activate it, and go up the stairs it moved. Go a little to the right, and then up the stairs here, in the southeast. The chest in the south of this level is a mimic, when defeated, it drops a seed of skill. Head to the central platform and activate the switch here. Go Clockwise and take the first set of stairs down. Activate the switch in the alcove here. Take the path through the central column and go clockwise to the next set of stairs up. Go clockwise to find the secret chamber. After a cutscene, hit the switch in here. This will activate an easy path to the exit, or you could just Zoom now to Sniflheim. Talk to the woman in the orange cloak. Now, you'll have a boss fight with Krystalinda.
Krystalinda HP 1800 MP 999 Attack 181 Defense 168 Agility 100
Krystalinda uses a lot of ice-based attacks, so Serena should use Hymn of Ice if she knows it. Krystalinda is weak to fire, so Veronica can do big damage. Now Sniflheim is back to normal. Go to the Inn, on the ground floor, there's a girl in green with bunny ears. Talk to her to arrange a Puff-puff. Rest Awhile at the inn until Noon, then meet the girl by the docks. (6/8 Puff-Puffs)
Return to the town and walk into the castle. Walk into the throne room. Talk to the queen, then go to the city gates. You will earn
Ice-Breaker
Awarded for saving the kingdom of Sniflheim from disaster.

Go to the item store and receive the "The Viking Hoard" side quest. Go to the bar North of the inn and receive the "A Cold Crush" quest. Head back inside the castle. Inside the queen's bedchamber on the left is a purple Tockle. (8/25 pastwords)
This tockle sings.
Sail away from Sniflheim. Sail around the little inlet to the Viking hideout West of Sniflheim. Use the statue here to save your game. Talk to a thin man in a vest about the missing tribute.
The Vikings can't deliver the tribute until you find this man's brother.
Sail away from here to the North central island. This is Insula Borealis. Look for a man in a red cap fishing.
While you're up here, sail east to the glowing spot on the water. Play the harp and travel to the island, Insula Centralis. Go to the red door here and open it with the magic key to get a sainted soma. We'll need that for crafting later. Zoom to the Snaerfelt Campsite. Turn around from the campsite and go up the ramp (use a face invader to break the ice block.) Look for a golden sparkle near the southern edge.
Here's a Snaerose!
Zoom back to Sniflheim. Go upstairs in the item shop and deliver the tribute. (18/40 side quests) Return to the Mead-hall and give the flower to the man here. (19/40 side quests) Zoom to the Warrior's Rest inn. Go to the ruins and take the east stairs. Behind this red door, you'll find the last orb. Zoom to the campsite in the Snaerfelt. Head East into the Arborian Highlands. Here, go forward and fight the sparkly runny Eggoskeleton so you can mount it. Use the Eggoskeleton to hop up the rocks. You'll reach Arboria at the top. The item shop here has some good gear. After a few cutscenes, you'll enter a circular room, leave back into Arboria. Pick up the side quest "Fit as a Fiddle," immediately to the North. Leave Arboria to the Grove of Repose. The kid here wants you to defeat a rare monster called a wright bulb. Now enter the First Forest. After the waterfall, look in the cave under the campsite for a chest. Rest at the campsite, so you can zoom back here. Climb up the tree and head counterclockwise around the center. Before you go inside a tree, look for a golden sparkle in the northeast.
Here's the Red Kale. It sounds disgusting.
Climb up the vine inside the tree. Up here are the Sprite Bulbs. You need to fight groups of Sprite bulbs until a Wight bulb shows up. Wright bulbs are really annoying; lots of health, paralyzing attacks, acts twice. Keep your health up.
Sprite bulbs are the blue floating leaf slimes.
Go to the upper campsite, for a cutscene. Zoom back to Arboria. Go to the grove of repose and give the girl the seeds. (20/40 side quests) The item she gives you is useless. Go to the purple dot in Arboria, and turn in the Red Kale. (21/40 side quests) The butterfly Baton he gives you is a good item for Serena. Finish anything you have left outstanding, because Act one is almost over. Zoom to the First Forest - Summit. Run up to Yggdrasil's Altar. Go forward and grab the blue sparkles along the way. You'll be attacked by Jasper in a fight you are forced to lose. This ends Act one, and you will earn
The World Tree
Awarded for reaching Yggdrasil at last and learning the truth.
